I am interested of your playstyle with this list. Also I am wondering what good 3 units of heavy destroyers will do? To my experience, they are like glass cannons. They do lots of damage, but get easily destroyed as well. Any tips perhaps?

I’ve decided to stick with the awaken dynasty because of all the free bonuses you get despite the points increases that a lot of our cryptek heroes received including illuminator Szeras. Plus, I really enjoy the reanimation aspect of the faction even though GW made several changes to how reanimation protocol army rule was triggered. In fact, they managed to make it worse than ninth edition and when you think about it, they actually made it more complicated when they said they were trying to make things simple. Even the resurrection orb became overly complicated in addition to also getting worse. What they should’ve done was roll two D3 instead of one D6 this would help average out a spread of reanimation wounds that would average out to around four and it would a lot of warriors to use their new crappy version of their bonus reanimation, which is the ability to roll reanimation dice… Don’t mind me, I’m just aggravated because I recently realized that pretty much the same models in the prior edition that we never took are pretty much the same ones again. Also, I truly feel like GW recently stole my money because I had just purchased a Tesseract arc probably less than a month ago and I wasn’t able to assemble it because sometimes I get too sick. I also bought an assembled sentinel and never assembled it so that’s basically over $200 and now I can’t use them in competitive play. They did the same thing to four of our models and I was really upset about losing three epic heroes especially Anrakyr. I’m still not sure why to this day they had to remove those three characters. Sure the finest sucked, but they could’ve just left them there for use until they received plastic up upgrades. And the same applies to our old C’Tan Characters. Can you imagine the hype to see a new plastic updated Nightbringer? I would love to see what they would do with a new Deceiver shard. And lastly, my negativity is not only due to Games Workshop constantly meddling with their rules which is almost every single update, no matter how trivial which a majority are negative. And if my current faction has gotten any frustrated and somewhat depressed, it gets even worse… take a guess because it has to do with my second Army… If you guessed it was Dark Angels, you would be absolutely correct. I would say until the recent changes it was the second worst faction book in 10th edition because not only did GW badly right the rules for only three detachments, but they dumpster a lot of data sheets even ones that were recently added to the faction as of last addition. Then, in one last attempt for 10th edition, I stupidly came across a box of chaos, space, marines, battle force veterans of the Long war, and I never played any power armor faction so I figured how exciting it would be to switch over to Chaos Marines with the ability to bring demons and the new rule which allows you to take other legions battle line units such as berserkers and rubrics. The fact the book had eight attachments finally made me feel like there’s gotta be at least one attachment that I can get some enjoyment out of and ironically, it’s there index detachment, which is now called packed bound, zealots Then I added the old space marine combat patrol, and I picked up a greater demon, and then the balance data slate dropped, and literally increased all of our infantry by a significant amount and I’m talking about like legionnaires going up, then GW made chosen 250 points for 10 and 250 points for possessed and war talons not only getting their rules downgraded, but their points increased to 270 points for a brittle flying skirmishing unit with no range to text and costs more than a great unclean one. This is insanity. I’m done. I really feel like I’m just throwing the towel. Part of me wants to try the brand new age of Sigmar because I don’t even care that there is bad lore and I can’t stand the aesthetics of storm cast Eternals, everything else in that game system seems to have factions with the most beautifully sculpted models and I just want to paint those and see if fourth edition rules will bring me in. I gotta be honest I don’t think I can dip my toes and waste anymore money this game.

I have like 100 list variations Lol. I just love trying out different configurations. I wished someone would make me a random list generator I'd totally be all over that challenge.

While I like 10th, I find 9th, especially late 9th, the favourite of the two I've played

How would you feel about Night Scythes in Hypercrypt Legion? Does the Deepstrike with the ability to embark/disembark an Infantry Unit make it viable?

Very nice list, the LHD are great but quite the hit in the wallet per model.

I would love a legend's option in the app, I use several legends tanks for my Dark Angels army

The issue with games with that kind of flavour (if I understand correctly) is that you end up with a number of units from different armies effectively all having the same rule worded differently. Which I really like and do indeed find flavourful... But which ends up being a nightmare rule-wise because the different wording makes unclear whether they are indeed intended as the same or slight variations.

yeah necrons have always been screwed by updates, it what got me to quit, not gonna double the money I put in because they just decide that certain models are different types of unit

I don't get the opportunity to play often, but i was hoping to buy the forge world models that moved to legends in the near future. Look's like that wont be likely for a while now

My Canoptek Tomb Spyder was my favorite model ever. My Legends points now are about enough to build a 1k Legends list 😭

I have to ask, are those incredibly cool looking pieces of necron terrain 3D printed? Too bad about the acanthrites, though. If it helps, in most of my 40k games still use 9th ed. rules. GW is not reliable enough to try and keep updated with all the points and balance changes. Specially when one just wants to have some fun and throw some dice 😊

Why do Necron have to be a pain in the nut sack to build?

My Hypercrypt List is 10 points over. I did not have the other issue as I never include anything Forgeworld in my armies anymore. Even if GW redid the model in plastic.

Mine did. As l don't play using GW rules anymore just throw what you want to use on the table, roll some dice an as Baldermort says make time for some fun.

I loved the start of 10th, never played so much warhammer in my life. However, catering to both the casual and the non competitive players with the same rulesets, missions etc doesn't really work for me

Yes they are annoying! It's hard keeping up with several armies too.

I do find it exhausting to try and keep up with rules updates.
